Scholarship holders from Schotstek attend Express Yourself Night at edding

January 2024

On “Blue Monday”, January 15, the evening at edding in Ahrensburg was anything but gloomy and dark. Because edding and the :do Foundation had invited scholarship holders to a colorful, creative workshop in Ahrensburg under the motto “Express yourself”. The participants were young people with a scholarship from the non-profit organization Schotstek. The organization has set itself the goal of promoting the careers of students and young professionals with a history of immigration by building networks with decision-makers from the business world.

The motto of the evening “Express Yourself” fits perfectly with the edding brand. The company wants to encourage everyone to have fun with their own creations and to express themselves freely and individually. The :do Foundation would like to support the aims of Schotstek with this workshop.

In the first part of the event, participants had the opportunity to ask edding CEO Per Ledermann extensive questions. The main topic was the transformation process that edding is currently undergoing. The company is on its way from a profit-oriented to a sensible company, with far-reaching ecological, social and economic sustainability goals.

The creative part of the evening then began under the guidance of artist Sarah Ape. Using acrylic markers and paper text blocks, a creative work of art on the topic of “Identity and self-efficacy” was created on a canvas, which the participants realized with enthusiasm and a lot of imagination.
