We in the Brunnenviertel (WIB)

WIB e.V. (Wir im Brunnenviertel) is a migrant organization that was founded in 2013. The association was created by and for teenagers and young people with a history of migration and refugee experience in order to give them a strong voice.
Our project is a low-threshold art education program by young women for women from Syria, Afghanistan and Ukraine, among others. Art is an open, informal and low-threshold medium for people to reflect on their feelings and experiences or to revive memories from their homeland. For example, we want to offer a free course in hand embroidery from different countries for refugee women. It is important that the participants improve their language skills, get to know new women and expand their networks. In addition, we offer a photography course, especially for young women living in refugee homes. With our art projects, we provide the participants with a safe space.
