Together - Ma'an
Start: December 2024
Our target group includes refugees, regardless of their country of origin, and their family members,
migrant workers who work in Schwerin or are undergoing training or further education.
The participants meet twice a week at the “language table” to improve their language skills together: They come as refugees from Ukraine, Syria or Afghanistan, they are family members of refugees, they have a visa to work in Germany or to complete training or further education.
What they all have in common is that they want to improve their language skills and establish contacts. They have questions about everyday life in Germany and need support in dealing with the authorities. The “language table” is therefore not a language course in the strict sense. It is an open offer for all those who want to talk to each other in German about topics of their choice. The topics mainly arise from the everyday life of the participants: be it shopping, visits to the authorities, events in the city, family celebrations, religious festivals such as Christmas, Ramadan, etc.
