Our target group is interested individuals from civil society in Chemnitz and the surrounding area, both affected individuals and multipliers.
The payment card for refugees has already been introduced in some Saxon municipalities and is expected to be introduced across the board at the beginning of 2025. The payment card severely restricts refugees’ freedom of disposal over the financial resources available to them and therefore has immense consequences for those affected. An information and networking event is planned in Chemnitz, which will provide information about these specific consequences and opportunities for solidarity-based action, as well as offering space for exchange and networking.
The aim is to lay the foundations for an exchange between those affected and people in solidarity and to jointly create sustainable solidarity structures.
